The head injuries Krickitt had sustained in the accident were so severe that at first she remembered nothing. She didn’t even remember how to dress herself, brush her teeth - not even how to walk. ‘But these skills were all stored in my long-term memory, so once I was shown how to do them in intensive therapy, they came flooding back,’ she says.
The couple agree that seeing their story on the big screen still takes some getting used to. ‘It’s strange to think of our marriage being portrayed as a remarkable love story, when, for us, we just did what we said we would do - we kept our vows,’ says Kim.
